Econyl

Dodo socks nautical bikini top - cobalt

Our new swimwear collection is inspired by the Ukrainian seascapes and is made from ECONYL, a regenerated nylon made in Italy, a high-performance fabric that solves the waste problem.

The Nautical Bikini Top is a modern take on the classic square neckline. It features a clean square neckline, wide straps for ease of use, a tie-back closure and is made from fully lined Italian fabric that is quick-drying, fade-resistant and chlorine-resistant.

The collection, "That's My Sea", is dedicated to the Ukrainian seascape and is made from elastic, fast-drying materials: lightweight, strong, quick-drying and can be recycled multiple times without losing quality.

How does it compare to other materials in terms of strength and durability?
Econyl has the same strength and durability as regular polyamide. It is resilient, lightweight, soft to the touch, requires no special care, and holds its shape well. Products made with Econyl maintain their color 100% and are chlorine resistant and UPF 50+ sun-proof guaranteed.

What are the other benefits of Econyl?
Producing 10,000 tonnes of Econyl will save 70,000 barrels of crude oil, prevent 57,100 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change. The use of Econyl conserves natural resources and saves the planet from tonnes of plastic waste.

How is it made?
Producing Econyl does not require the use of new natural resources: divers collect plastic waste from oceans and seas, bring it to the factory, sort it, clean it and process it into pellets, which are then heated to temperatures of over 300 degrees to create the Econyl fibre.

The product is conveniently packaged in a recycled bag.

Material: 78% Recycled Polyamide (Econyl), 22% Elastane
Lining: 90% Polyamide, 10% Elastane
